This is the first time I've ever encountered an issue building a PC, and after trying the common steps to resolve issues, I'm still struggling.

The Rig
I currently have a breadboarded system which contains all new components:
Corsair 550W PSU
Gigabyte GA-H110M-H Socket 1151 Micro ATX mono
Intel Core i5-7500 CPU with stock heatsink
HyperX Fury 4GB DDR4 2133MHz (one stick installed in DDR4_1)

The Problem
When I power on, the CPU cooler spins, and after a few seconds, the PC shuts down and reboots. This then continues ad infinitum. There is nothing on the display.

The Solutions ?
I'm already breadboarding, and I've had the CMOS battery out and replaced it. I've taken the heatsink off, checked that there is thermal paste (there is), and re-seated it. I don't have an internal speaker - but will get one if absolutely necessary. Does anyone have any ideas?

Solution
Your H110 MB needs the newer BIOS to support the 7th gen CPU. You can ask the local PC shop or the shop you bought the parts for help, let them update the BIOS. Otherwise you need return the H110, buy the B250 or h270 for the i5 7500.

did you plug in the 4/8 pin cpu power as well as the 20/24 motherboard power?
did you try any other dimm sticks? that fury dimm stick on any other slot?
it may be too late but when you took off the heatsink did you try power it on? if you did, you just burned your cpu and even if there was something else going on you won't know because the cpu is dead.
and just a minute isn't your motherboard ddr3? ga-h110m-h is ddr3 only is it not? why are you using ddr4 memory?

It sounds as if the BIOS version is the issue. If I don't have any tech support (bought all parts separately online), and don't have a compatible CPU that I can use to flash the BIOS, do I have any other option? Or do I need to take it in to a local computer repair centre?

Hi all, sorry to resurface this thread after it appeared complete, but I have an update as below:

I sent the board back to GIGABYTE to update the BIOS, and this has now been completed. However, I am still having the same issues that I had before. I assume that the board was updated correctly and was fully functioning when it left GIGABYTE (I have emailed them to check), so please can you help with a new solution to this problem!
