New build no signal on monitor

Hi everyone...just to pre warn I am a complete noob here so bare with me

I have finished my new build and connected everything up but I can't get a signal from my monitor or my TV

I have tried vga and hdmi on both the motherboard and graphics card but still nothing

I am using a MSI Z97 Mobo, XFX Rad R9 270 single fan graphics card and evga 500b psu

There is definitely power to the graphics card as the fan is working but like I said I'm a complete noob and I have no idea what to check for

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check CPU/BIOS compatibility and start a support ticket with MSI, if you have checked all the connections and everything seems good that maybe your only option. I have an MSI mobo here that is giving me the same problem so I feel your pain mate.
