New build not starting up BIOS, but lights and fans are working?

Hello, I just finished building my computer with the following parts:

Asus Prime B350-plus motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 1400
GEFORCE GTX 1050
2x Gskill Ripjaws V
EVGA 500B power supply

Everything is connected correctly as far as I can tell. All the fans start up when I turn it on, and the motherboard lights up and does a slow fade blink, but nothing shows up on the monitor and there is no BIOS startup beep. My best guess from looking around on the internet is faulty motherboard, but is there any other possibility? I have tried using just one stick of RAM and trying it in all the slots, but that didnt help.

The board probably needs a bios update to work with that CPU, most of these AM4 boards only shipped with R7 support a month or so ago before R5 was released, call the shop you brought it from, they should offer the service for free.
