New build not starting up.

Hi guys,

So I just got the last of my parts installed in my new build. I plug everything in and push the power button. The fans, lights and hdd start up but nothing comes up on the screen. The CPU LED light is on i'm not sure what I can do to get the system going.

The specs

fx 8350

Thermalright silver arrow

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R 2.0

8gb 1866 ballistix tactical

HD 6450 (until I can afford a hd 7970)

750w Dell PSU

1tb Seagate barracuda

Yes all the cables are pluged in and I have hooked it up to a different system to make sure It works.

Because the red CPU Led light is on I am fairly sure it is motherboard cpu or psu.

Since you have a different system, you could experiment by switching out components. Since your other rig works, try switching out the ram and see if it boots. If it doesn't, try the processor then gpu (assuming it's not an integrated gpu)

Make sure the 24pin motherboard connector and cpu connector are secure. Check to make sure there's no bent pins on the cpu socket on the motherboard.
