New Build Not Turning On.

Been upgrading my old pc with a new psu. motherboard, and cpu and ran into a problem when i went to start it. The lights went on for a split second then turned off, no fans turning just the led lights on the motherboard. i tried using my old psu and everything turned on and booted fine. So assuming i just got a faulty psu, i bought a new one just to have that one do the same thing.
The old psu is a evga 650w
the first new one is a evga 750w
the second new one is a corsair 750w
motherboard is msi z370 gaming plus
cpu is an i-5 8600k

appreciate any help i can get to solve this

You didn't use the old PSU's cables did you? They are not universal.
