new build, not working properly

ok so i helped my frined build his pc, its not my first build so im well aware of what to do, when i push the power button, the leds on the ram and case work good, fans start up, but the light on motherboard wont light up , and its not posting

nvm switched the ram slots and booted now, thanks also windows is free to use right?although itll have a watermark in the corner?
