[SOLVED] New Build NVMe SSD not recognized

I'm using a ASRock x570 Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard with an Inland Premium 1TB NVMe M.2 PCIE SSD. I've installed the SSD into what the manual calls the M2_3 slot. M2_1 is covered by the GPU, and M2_2 is only for wifi cards per the manual. I also have a 2.5" SSD installed into the SATA 2 slot. The PC is booting from the 2.5" SSD fine, but when I go into the BIOS the NVMe SSD is not even listed. If I disconnect the SATA drive, the NVMe drive is still not recognized. What am I doing wrong?

Try returning it, to be replaced, to rule out a defective drive.

so i installed the drive into the M_1 slot and it is recognized. So it's not the drive.

Not sure, then, about the issue. Try again and see if still not detected. If still no go, it could be a defective slot.
