[SOLVED] new build old drives

So I recently swapped most of my pc parts with some new things and added a m.2 where I put windows. The pc starts and works and I technically have all my old data but when I try to access things like games or programs it simply asks for a preferred program to launch with. I can't even launch steam, also all of my personal preferences are gone (startup programs or settings for peripherals).

New PC, new drive, you did a full OS installation in this new system?

Did you reinstall the programs on the new OS drive?

If the game's installation directory is intact and you have Steam installed, you can redirect the app to find and recognize the installation drive and prevent you from having to redownload the game. Have a read here;

Cloned the OS or did you reinstall your OS after the migration to your new system?

I reinstalled and still have os on old drive.
