Hey everyone.

I'm waiting for all my new build components to arrive in the post. I didn't buy a new SSD & HD as i'm stripping them from my old build. How can i wipe both my HD and SSD completely prior to putting them into the new build. I seen DBAN however i don't want to wipe just my SSD (OS) then be left with my HD with all my files on there and can't get them off without having to wipe it from the new build.

Have you any suggestions on how to do this?

Sorry for the noob question.

Solution
Save all personal files from SSD, disconnect HDD and DBAN only SSD, your files will be safe on HDD. Install OS on SSD and connect HDD again.
But.... you don't really need to DBAN SSD, you can repartition and reformat SSD while installing Windows, even in that case save personal files from it first.
If you want to use DBAN to wipe both disks just tell it to do both although you can kill all partitions on HDD and make new one(s) after installing Windows on SSD.
In any case, you would be well advised to keep HDD off while installing Windows on SSD.
