I've got a xfx hd 6670 1gb vid card, a spare 585w power supply that i might not reuse, due to it being old and noname and its only got 15A on the +12v rail lol, and ive got 6gb of 1333 ram. I want to grab a NICE motherboard/cpu/case combo that i can upgrade into later, and the bottlenecking due to the old gfx is fine for now. With a pricerange of +/-450$ what builds you can recommend

loving these recommendations, i see that i5 is more popular than the AMD counterpart, which im not too surprised about. For cost efficiency I am gonna use the RAM i have and need to add powersupply and hdd to what im looking for. so please keep it coming

Is your RAM three 2gb sticks? If so, you will only be able to use two of them in dual channel. If you use all three is will run single channel which is a bit slower.

no its the original 2x 1gb(1333) and then i added a 2x 2gb(1333) so that i could utilize the dual channel.
