New build - old SSD - how to?

So, I finished building my new rig (first time building myself) and I foolishly assumed that I could just plug in my old SSD with windows on it and boot from it. I got an error and windows tried to repair but failed...

I want to keep the stuff I got on my SSD, but I COULD move it to my normal hard drive, and do a fresh windows-install, but would that be my only option?

Is there a clever way to make this work without having to put my hard drives back into my old tower?

Thanks for the help in advance :)

That often happens with what you tried.

Full reinstall is your easiest and best way forward.
Save whatever you need to keep on another drive, and reinstall the OS in the new hardware.
