Just built a new PC and I'm experiencing some difficulties when it comes to getting my PC to boot. It is very temperamental which I originally attributed to the repurposed ASUS P8Z77-V LK motherboard, but I'm quite confused.
Before I explain, this is my build:
CPU - i5 2500k
GPU - EVGA 950 SSC
PSU - CX600
MOBO - ASUS P8Z77-V LK
RAM - 8 GB 1600 Crucial Ballistix (2x4GB)
HDD - WD Blue 500 GB (doesn't post when this is connected, so it's disconnected)
SSD(boot) - Samsung 840 Pro 128gb
So this is how I can get my PC to boot right now, I need the WD Hard Drive and SATA cable to be disconnected, and the GPU can not be plugged into the PSU. I have W10 installed perfectly fine on the SSD and it runs with integrated graphics, but once I try to use the GPU the PC doesn't display any video even though the fans are running. I have deleted the Integrated Graphics driver, changed PCI slots (both x16), and disconnected the motherboard from the monitor, but I still can't get any video output. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced similar problems and had a fix for this. The GPU might be dead, I'm not sure, but the fans on it do spin. Also, if anyone knows what's wrong with the HDD and the SATA that is just a plus.
