hey guys!

aite just build a new pc

i7-6700k
Asus rog maximus viii Ranger
ddr4 vengeance lpx 2133Mhz 2 x 8gb
4 x 250 ssd samsung evo 840
700W psu
2 x 970 4gb strix
OS: Windows 10 64bit i had windows 7 preimum before so should be fine with gb here.

I had problems with my build last night when i couldn't get any signal to monitor, but i got that solved by removing 1 block, and putting the last one in A0

I then had signal on the screen, and installed newest bios etc etc.

I added my 2nd stick, in B0 but, its not seeing the 2nd stick either in bios or my nvidia program. They are only catching 8gb

any suggestions or ideas on what it could be? im thinking and hoping its not a bend cpu pin, but then i played games on the pc night out, without any problems either.

Thanks in advance.

i've been asking a lot of questions the past few days! just wanna say thanks for all the help so far.

First off, JESUS 4 SSDs!!! Now onto your question, did you make sure that the RAM is compatible (I'm assuming you used PCPartPicker.com if it is). Make sure the RAM is fully in the slot, both sides of the slots locks I guess you could say should be latched on the memory stick. If you have another computer that is compatible with DDR4 Memory try putting the stick in that computer and if it works then could have just been a mistake while installing it, but if it doesn't make sure you activate the warranty so you can send it in and get a new one for free (not including shipping to them).

regarding the ssd's, i've been buying 250gb once a year, to replace my hdd, i still have a 1tb hdd, but i've taken that out now.

I bought the i7 mobo and ram as a package deal with a evo 212 cooler.

Seeing that when the stick was in B0 and A1, 1 only i was getting error 53, no memory detected therefore no signal to monitor.
I switched it to A0 and i had signal trough.

So my guess is that stick is working fine? my cooler is like closeup to it it cant be taken out without me having to do a million things first. but i will try it. Would a combination of a0a1 work? or b0b1?

it's really annoying me, cause it could be cpu, or bent pin. but everything is running perfectly, games etc.

I did however not do a clean install of my OS, decided to update bios only, cause my cpu and mobo was the only "new" thing to the pc, since gpu were there from previous build.
