I am going to be upgrading to an i5 3750k plus the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. I've been reading online that there is a lot of issues with this boards as far as a bent cpu issue with it. People are acting as if it bends the cpu pins and they end up footing the bill. I also read a lot of reviews of DOA. I was wondering if there is any issue with using these in my new build or do these people have the same IQ as my belt size?

Solution
Asrock z77 extreme 4 is a good board, and it's fine, the issues that you described happens on any brand of mobos, it's a common thing with motherboards.
Asus are not that good, see some complain here on the forum about their custom services...

Thank you for the response. So I'm probable going to get it. Whats with the board bending the pins though, that's something I'm not familiar with. I'm familiar with boards being shipped DOA. There was a couple reviews talking about the bent pins.

For most reviews i don't see anything mentioning bent pins on the asrock z77 extreme 4.
Yes, it's not as common as the doa mobo when shipped, but it happens occasionally in any brand of motherboards, e.g. some mobos like z77 asus sabertooth came with that from factory, also some gigabyte i seen with that.
But it's rare.
