Getting ready to build a new unit for around $500 for running Esprit CAD/CAM software. The software requires 320 gb when running simulations and 12 gb of ram as well as a minimum of 3.47 ghz for processor speed. Please see the build parts I'm thinking about using below.

Part List
CPU AMD FX-6300

MOBO ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3

GPU EVGA GTX 960

RAM Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB x2

HDD Seagate 1 TB

CASE Rosewill Dual Fans

PSU EVGA 500W 80PLUS

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Grand Total: $470-$550

Also thinking about going with 128 or 250 gb ssd for boot drive.

Thanks in advance for your opinion(s) it is greatly appreciated.

I would think that is not an optimal build for your purpose .
The motherboard is dreadful and will slow you a lot since its SATA ports are only half the speed of current generation products

Can you tell us more about your use of the software and is there a link to the recommended minimum computer required?

What about this mobo, running 6Gb/s ?

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB 950 6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray USB 3.0 ATX AMD

The use of the software is for CAD/CAM. You know designing and manufacturing of machined components. The software runs simulations that show if the code I write for running the part through the CNC machine will crash the machine or destroy a tooling bit. It models the actual machining that will take place per the code/program I write. Very large files when running. The software requires 12 gb of ram to run 3 to 5 axis programs. Any help on my future build will be greatly appreciated.

Outlander sorry about the -1. I'm new to the sight and didn't know that the up and down arrows were to vote on your reply, the site doesn't allow me to change it.
