May I ask why you bought just one stick of DDR3 memory at 8gb
I mean the board would only run in single channel memory mode.

If you have a Radeon 7870 card make sure you go into the bios and turn the on board intel graphics chip off and set the primary diplay device to Pci-e slot.
Check that the memory timings are also correctly picked up by the bios and that the voltage is right.

Make sure you have connected the 8 pin 12v cpu feed to the board and the Atx power block is seated right. And that you have the Pci-e 12v power connected to the Ati 7870 card.

The problem could be the memory stick it`s self, or could be a fact the board does not run in in single channel memory mode.

Other than that it may be a driver causing the problem.

Restarts over and over.
Have just received the second stick of 8 gb ram.
Starts up and then shuts down after 15 seconds and continues the cycling.
I have tried only having the mobo, cpu and ram on.
Next is to try another PSU and stock fan to replace the spiffy new fan.
Any other thoughts?
OK. Bread board down to CPU and Mobo with the same symptoms with a different PSU
(Antec 650W) from an older box. Which is more likely before I start looking for RMAs from New Egg?
Thanks as always to the collective.
