Hello,
Thank you guys. It is always useful to get help here. I recently posted about a system and I was able to get most of the components. I'm concerned with quality and support in case if I have a problem, say with the motherboard... Since this will be my main machine of course, not much can be done in terms of support. if something goes bad, I will just need to send the part back. This will be running either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1
After looking at some suggestions, I think I'm inclining myself for the following:
* Intel Core i7-5930K 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
* Asus X99-DELUXE ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard (Feel free to differ in this choice, maybe a better one)
* GeForce GTX 980 (Only one but I will get a second one later)
* G.Skill Ripjaws Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
* Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
* Samsung or Crucial SSD 1TB (or two 512)
* EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
I'm missing the case, CPU cooler(s), additional fans (if needed) .. Any recommendations now that I have a more concrete system in mind. Any suggestions to change parts are extremely welcomed.
Purposed: Real-Time 3D graphics and stereoscopic rendering prototyping. Also, threading development will also be done in this computer. The type of work includes Unity Pro, OpenGL, and other type of graphics development.
Requirements: I want a system that is quiet as much as possible.
Budget: 3,000 USD
I wonder if the motherboard is an over kill when I will only plan to have up to 2 video cards. I'm also concerned that the case is easy to work with and that is promotes a quiet environment. More importantly, that I can fit the parts in the case without a problem. I don't think this will fit in a normal video card. I'm also concerned if the power supply will do.
Thanks
