Hello there, I recently built a pc a couple of weeks ago for a nephew, second time I've built one after my own that still works fine 2 years later.
It was working fine for about 5 days and then anytime you powered it on it would light up for about a second and then turn off.
I've done a few tests ,tried the ram and the motherboard outside the case with nothing extra but the core essentials connected but it did the same as when everything is.
For the psu test I put the clip in and plug it into wall and flick the switch, the fan spins for a second or so and then stops, I flick the switch off and flick it on but it doesn't spin or do anything the second time.
Since the fan spins the initial time I put the power in does it mean it's okay? With newer models of psu I don't know if the fans should stay spinning
Otherwise I'd assume its the motherboard as I've tried one stick of ram in and swapped them out and stuck one in different slots and it still just boots, things light up for a second and then it goes off so unless it's both sticks of ram but there's no orange light or beeps to make me think that
