New Build. PC turns off after 20 seconds and then restarts again.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8gb

zotac 1060 6gb mini

System turns on for good 20 seconds and then shuts down and restarts. The system fans are on. Motherboard lights up.CPU fan works. PSU fan work. SYstem does not even reach the bios. All the components are new.

I have replaced the motherboard and PSU. I have checked the processor and it works fine. I have checked with only CPU and RAM and without any RAM too but the problem remains. I have taken out the CPU and removed and reapplied thermal paste and then connected it to the CPU and the problem still remains. THe 8 pin for CPU is properly connected. The 24 pin connector is connected but not latched properly. I have tried way too hard but it just goes 95% in.This may be the problem but I am not sure. This is my 6 month savings. Please help if you can.

Check the 24pin cable for any damage and the socket as it needs to be firmly in place and pushed well down as this will be your issue.
Do not apply excessive force to do so. Make sure it is oriented the right way.

The cable is not damaged but it just won't latch to the motherboard. I have replaced both the motherboard and PSU. This may be the problem but then it shouldn't power up at all if it is not properly connected. Still I'll go home in evening and try to further tighten the connection

Placed the pin into the 24 pin connector correctly and reinserted the ram till a click sound is heard. Fixed my issue
