New build possible chipset error?

I am not sure where to put this thread. I have a new system. XP PRO AMD 940 x4 with AMD chipsets on motherboard.
It is the Gig UD4H motherboard. Corsair 800 ram. My software which I build the system for GVI by TASCAM is no longer supported anywhere. This is not good as every time I load the sample with Gigapulse encoded (which is a reverb calculation thing) the system generates an error (GVI hosting shell) and it closes. It loads regular samples fine and the system has been flawless with everything else. GVI is highly rated solid software as well... not flaky. My question is...

With no software support and limited to no forum Tascam support what are my options to fix this? Should I take it to a computer fix it store to see if they could figure it out? Is there a place that I can place error file(s) where experts know how to read this exactly? Perhaps I should load Windows 7 RC... and see if this solves the problem. I have never had any problems with this software on my other AMD computer. I have installed the software twice to make sure nothing was corrupt.

Please list full system specs, also have you run memtest on each stick? Send it through atleast 10 times and make sure you dont get any errors, also run prime 95 and see if that crashes, if it crashes at stock speeds then you have a piece of bad hardware.

I know nothing about your program but I have a suspicion you need to look at the sound on your mb
[ this makes sense , right? ]


new motherboards have Hi-def sound support

older boards used the AC97 codec

I suspect your board can be configured to run either . Check the mb manual and try and set it up to be running AC97

I will try but I doubt this is involved as it has been tried with firewire external and internal sound card... crashed both times. The prior poster recommended ram testing and prime torture test. So far prime 95 has run flawlessly... will let it keep going though.

Well Hunter, did what you asked and I have no errors. I tortured the ### out of it. Both Cpu and Ram have no errors that were brought up. Even ran two different test softwares concurrently and no problems. Ran in all permutations for hours. This GVI instance with Gigapulse is the only error showing up with any software I have. I will tell you that its older brother Gigapulse is programed at the kernel level. Maybe GVI is as well... I don't know what Kernel level means other than it is supposed to be faster and less stable. Any other ideas that might help me resolve this? I will tell you that it loads fine... until the very last moment and it closes if that tells you anything. Will follow this with my complete specs. System is not overclocked.
