New PC Build. Asus M5A78L-M LX Plus, AMD 6300, 8GB Stick Fury Ram Corsair 750 Watt PS. Installed all components, LED on lower left corner of board comes on when PS turned on, nothing else, no post, no fan spin up.......nothing. Power button results in soft click from PS, and nothing else. Pulled board and benched it outside the case. Same exact thing. Tried different power button, no change. Jumped PS, PS comes on no problem, multimeter says output all correct on each lead, fans spin up, all looks good. Put multimeter on power supply connecter and hit power button........watched voltage drop from 5v to 0v as expected. Used other working pull PS to test......same thing. Removed all peripherals........same thing. Tried different amd processor, same thing. RMA'd board back to ASUS. Bought 2nd board, same model, from different vendor (needed 2nd board anyway so no biggie), SAME FLIPPIN' problem. I CANNOT figure out what the deal is! BTW, outlet shows 115V, other PC on same outlet works fine. I am ready to lose my mind over this.

Yes, each and every component swapped out and tested across other systems. The ONLY component I can not test is my 8GB memory stick (1x8), as I don't have any other ddr3 laying around. Would a bad memory stick cause nothing (including cpu fan, etc) to power up?

I'm pretty sure that if it was the ram your system would spin fans and flash lights, then shutdown, then restart, spin fans, flash lights... Have you tried to see if fans go without any ram in it?
