New Build - Power Supply Assistance

Hello Community,

It's been a while since i've posted, but I have recently come up with the idea of upgrading my current computer, and using the old components to build my girlfriend one too (Both for playing games, such as GTA 5 etc.)

I have everything but a new PSU for her computer, I would like a PSU around 50-60 pounds, lower if possible, but i'd rather spend extra to get a better quality PSU.

Another condition, I need it to be from CCLOnline only, as I will order it in one big bunch as I get free next day delivery.

Thanks again for any answers.

If you also wish to assist me, and you can get me a full build, needing:

CPU, Motherboard, RAM, GPU and PSU.

Note, I am upgrading my CPU, Motherboard and RAM, and using it in the build, which I Need GPU and PSU.

Overclocking is not a must, but an estimated price would be appreciated. But the 'Cheaper' build will most likely be my option. (Another note, a 7600K would also be appreciated, but a cheaper motherboard at the current time and then later boosted up to a Z270 - Unless any Z170 Motherboards are preinstalled with the BIOS update needed)

Edit: Just thought I'd add this, all components would be best if purchased from the same company, even better if there's next day delivery that's free or low cost.

Nobody can answer your question as is.
For the power supply question you need to list all the parts in her PC.
For the build question you need to list the case it must fit in.

This is about the best power supply their in that price range if it's enough watts.

50 or 60 pounds? wow that's a heavy power supply... :p I know you ment 50/60 British pounds. just teasing

please list CPU. Motherboard, video card, hard drive(s) to get a better idea what she got to suggest a PSU from CCLonline.

quick look of possible choices depending on your hardware

Corsair CX450M 450W Modular PSU 80+ Bronze 52.43 incl vat

but here the search for 40-60 quid, 400-700wats bronze, silver and gold PSU at CCLonline web site

Case is some cheap-ish one, should fit any regularly sized PSU's. Motherboard would have to be Micro-ATX.

PSU would need to be around 500W - That is with headroom added.

Parts I'm looking at are, a 7600K, 16GB RAM, Z270 Motherboard - Unsure on exact models/manufacturers.

Looking at a GTX 1050Ti or any alike it. RX470 etc.

Apologies to all of you.

Not been on in a while so I forgot what to list and what not to.

Basically my current PC is:

i5-4590, GTX 970, H81m-plus, 500GB 850 Evo, 2x1TB HDD.

From this, I will transfer the RAM, i5-4590 and the motherboard over to her computer (She has HDD currently, then will upgrade to SSD eventually)

Just need a decent GPU for 1080p, if not maximum 720p for games such as GTA V.

So a 450W PSU would be enough, but for extra headroom around 500W?

For me, I'm looking at i5-7600K for overclocking, and either 8GB of RAM then upgrading to 16GB eventually, and a Z270 motherboard or any z170 that has the BIOS Update preisntalled (Not good at BIOS flashing and don't want to risk bricking it)

Without a budget it is tough to give a good build. Here is a generic high quality 1920x1080 graphics build. Select the parts you need. Vendor was limited to CCLonline.

My post was screwy for a while. I was trying to figure out how everyone does those full PCpartpicker breakdown lists in their posts rather than just the permalink.

For the other build can't really do a 7600K since not a clue what cooler will fit in the case but this would work good and put more money into the video card.
(requires windows 10)

I already have a good CPU Cooler that will allow a small OC.

I am also wanting to upgrade my case eventually due to ports becoming faulty, but that is not needed now.

I have currently found a decent build that would fit my needs.

Then just the GPU on top, and that would be the entire build.

I would probably then buy a quiet CPU Cooler to put on the 4590 as I'll keep mine until I am in the position to upgrade that to a Cryorig H7 or something similar.

Can anyone recommend a small CPU Cooler at around £15 that is quiet? Something like the Arctic Alpine 11 PRO rev.2; to keep the 4590 at around 70c?

Glad you thought it was a good choice.

Unfortunately I would prefer it to be here as soon as possible, so had to use Scan instead, little bit more pricey (Only £15-ish) but can get it delivered Tuesday rather than Thursday.

Yeah, added an Arctic Alpine 11 rev.2 (or whatever it's called) and going to order it now.

Switched the PSU to a Seasonic S12ii 520W PSU, just for the extra headroom, was only an extra £5-ish.

Going to order in a few minutes, and there goes £630 out of my wallet :p
