Hello. I have built a new PC (it being my first time) and installed all the hardware properly. When I booted up for the first time, No video came on my monitor and heard one long beep and three short ones, which i believe meant an issue with the ram. I tried switching the ram to a different slot and messed around with it booting up in total of about four times, disconnecting the hard drive several times but still getting the same beeps. This last time, in order to get video on my monitor I tried disconnecting my graphics card and reinstalling it, but now when I try to boot up and hit the power button nothing happens. Nothing spins no noise or anything. I don't know what I did wrong this time but this is worse than the ram issue i fear.

RAM always should go in the very last slot farthest away from the CPU and when you add more it comes closer and closer to the CPU. There are three things I have in mind why nothing at all would be turning on now:

1) Is the little PSU switch in the back of the computer on?
2) Is the CPU power cable plugged in at all?
3) Are all fans plugged in properly?

One thing you might want to also try is booting with the GPU out of the computer and to use the motherboards on-board graphics and see if it boots. Then you can deduce something is wrong with the GPU installation. Also look at this: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

1) yes
2) yes
3) yes
I can't boot without the gpu because my porcessor (AMD athlon 760k) doesn't have any onboard graphics.

Did you discharge static from your body?

Every time I went to touch a component I discharged myself on the chasis.
