[SOLVED] new build powers on but no post

just put a new system together
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
ASRock B450M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory
Western Digital Blue 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
in a Thermaltake Core V21 MicroATX Mini Tower Case

switched on at the psu and rgb comes on, press power button fans start but no post and no beep. have switched ram around singly everything is brand new not sure what/how to check what should be replaced.

That worked thanks. But should I be worried that the card is over the connectors at the bottom of the board?
Go into the mobo manual and check what slot is PCIE Gen 3 x16 and keep your GPU in that slot. Although the difference in performance between Gen 3 x16 and Gen 3 x8 is minimal especially for a GTX 970, You're better off with x16. If your x16 slot doesn't work then keep it in x8 but keep in mind that the mobo is probably broken somewhere for that to happen and newer GPUs will NEED atleast PCIE Gen 3 x16 slots to perform as intended.

Where is your graphic card ??? The AMD Ryzen 7 2700X has no iGPU.
You NEED a graphic card to be able to output anything on a monitor
