New Build Problems

Just booted computer for first time. Computer turns on have fans working. power to gpu,mobo, disk tray works. After about 30 seconds computer shuts off and turns self back on. have no display to monitor. Any clues? I can post my build list if needed.

hdd plugged in to both power and sata?

RAM fully inserted?

PSU plugged in all the way? (had this one last week)

I have power to both chassis fans, power to mobo and gpu. HDD has both power and sata plugged in. Is there a way to verify hdd getting power? Both RAM full locked in. CPU fan is on.

It's a 4 or 8 pin plug on the motherboard that should be connected to the psu during the build.

I have an 8 and 24 pin connected to MOBO.

Did you use a third party cpu cooler? If so, did you apply thermal paste?

Nope, used the one shipped to me. Pre applied thermal.

make sure your monitor is plugged in to the mobo connectors and not the gpu ones. The gpu is not yet installed until the driver is loaded in the OS

probably not, but having your monitor plugged in to the gpu before installing drivers may keep you from getting a picture to figure out more about the issue. Unless there is no igpu, where the motherboard uses whatever gpu is in as default.

If none of these ideas have helped, you may have a defective motherboard that needs RMA.
