Hi all, first question, and a pain at that. I have used two non-descript z-97 motherboards. An MSI, and a gigabyte. With tested ram, a reliable ssd, and three different windows 7 discs, 2 burned iso's, one purchased disk. ANywho. WHenever the installation gets to 50 or 60 percent it says files are corrupted, cannot continue installation. Tried a dif dvd rom drive, re-arranged the ram, I have never had this installation problem before, and as I know the components are good, ram, dvd, ssd, and I am using three dif windows disks, I cannot for the life of me imagine what could be causing it. I tried putting an ISO on the ssd, for a restore from image but the system never finds it. I did once manage to mount an ISO from a command line, or powershell, but I forget how. In the morning I am planning to install the iso on a blank formatted hard drive again, and try to get some mounting program on there with it, if I can run That from command line. I am also considering cloning a fully operational computers hard drive and seeing if that will at least get it up and running. I also keep having trouble with windows saying the harddrive is in MBT or wrong format mode, but then when I change the partition style, it complains about That setting too, and one minute later works... SOrry I am vague without screen caps or more hardware info, but I am still at a very loose stage of my inquiry. This is my 6th or so build, and they have all gone literally like clockwork up till now.

Solution
with both mb make sure both have the newest bios file on them. in the bios make sure xmp profile is on and intel rapid store is off. if it on the sata ports may be set to raid and not achi mode. with the ssd make sure you use there secure erase to see if there a bad bit on the ssd. also on some mb check that your on the intel sata ports some mb have 3 party asmedia ports. also check that your not using a share sata port. some sata ports will be turned off if saat express or m2 slot is used do to the limited number of pci lanes. look at the mb guild to see what ports may shut off. if one stick of ram is bad it can cause issue try one ram stick see if install works. also use intel test tool check that the cpu cache and cores are fine.
