Do you guys recommend waiting for Cyber Monday / Black Friday week to buy and build a new PC at this point?

B360 or H370 chipset board will do you fine.
Drop down to DDR4-2666MHz ram kit.
If you plan to get a K suffix Coffee-Lake processor part, then your build is fine as is, except I'd get a DDR4-3200MHz ram kit. If your budget includes the processor and you want to overclock out of the box, you're going to need to add an i5-8600K and an aftermarket solution.

Thank you for the quick response. I forgot to mention that this is a gaming machine used for PUBG, Rocket League, the new Black Ops 4, etc.

I was thinking that the Z370 chipset may be a bit much for the 8400, but haven't been keeping up with hardware the past couple years.
