Honestly, not a good build, in the sense that it is 2 generations old, and costs as much, or more, than faster ones.

thank you! only thing thats throwing me off is this warning: Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. I do not have any other AMD CPUs layin around. should I be concerned?

The 15 11400F cpu is due to be back in stock en masse including sites such as Amazon and Newegg within the next few weeks.

This board paired with the right cpu cooler will allow you to run that 11400/11400F 24/7 with the power limits turned off in the bios. It's a round a about way of OC those locked Intel cpu's.

ASUS TUF Gaming B560M-PLUS WiFi $149.99

I'll use these two cpu coolers for example.

https://www.amazon.com/Mugen-Rev-CPU-Cooler-Support/dp/B06ZYB8K77/
Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B CPU Air Cooler $49.99

or ...

https://www.amazon.com/Original-Design-Towers-Cooler-SCFM-2000/dp/B07QMK5R45/
Scythe Fuma 2 CPU Air Cooler $59.99

Look for: Core i5 11400F + Opt on the gaming benchmarks in that link down below.

All Gigabyte B550 boards support bios flashback, so you do not need an older CPU, to update the bios.

It is likely a mistake to build with older gen parts when buying new.
For example, the 11th gen i5-11400F is cheaper and stronger than the i7-9700K
A B560 based motherboard is all that you need.
3200 speed ram is fine, intel performance is not tightly tied to ram.
I5-11400F comes with a cooler.
The graphics card is usually more important for fast action gaming than the cpu.
Here is a review of the i5-11400F(the F has no integrated graphics)
