I'm going to build my first PC as I heard you can get potentially a better build for cheaper.
Here is the specs I want to go for: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/YungEb_/saved/MxqNzy

Question 1: Will the stock cooler be enough for gaming whilst having other applications open in the background?
Question 2: Will I be able to install a 1TB HDD alongside the 1TB SSD I have there?
Question 3: Are those specs good enough to run games like GTA 5, Squad, Insurgency Sandstorm, Warzone at 1080p with a good amount of FPS?
Question 4: Anything else you guys suggest me adding or changing or anything I need to build it as not only is this my first PC I will build but this is my first ever PC.

I'm planning on purchasing the parts via eBay, Amazon and Facebook Marketplace. Any scams/tricks I should be looking out for?

Wouldn't buy that Asus motherboard, has weak VRM's which could be in the way of an upgrade path,

would spend more like this one,
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...atx-lga1700-motherboard-pro-b660m-a-wifi-ddr4
at least comes with WIFI as you need it and vrm's are decent enough. And i do realize it's more expensive.

For a nice M-ATX case does this seem not too bad which would be possible with the motherboard above,
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/469tt6/tecware-forge-m-atx-mini-tower-case-twca-forgem-bk
only have looked at some reviews, but airflow and ease of build seem pretty good, comes with 4 fans preinstalled, no need for extra right away.

For a nice ATX case if needed would this be a decent choice for the money,
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/yKNgXL/msi-mag-forge-100r-atx-mid-tower-case-mag-forge-100r
check it out in reviews.

Right now would spend abit more on the ssd and get this,
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...b-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-mz-v8v1t0bam
then again i don't know what your max budget for all parts is. Think it's worth it over the P2, might want to take abit of time and look at the pcpartspicker for best price on a certain day, it differs alot per day.

That monitor linked above seems a steal, would just get it before price changes again, things like that. Maybe even motherboard has those fluctuations or sales on it.

I'm a university student thats studying Computer Science so I've got a ton of work I need to do, games and OS will go to SSD and the rest is for the HDD

What's the over-riding reason you need 2 drives for this?

Make a wild guess:

How much total capacity needed for "games", not OS?

How much total capacity for OS and applications? Windows takes under 30 GB.

How much total capacity for "the rest"?

"The rest" consists of what? Video files? Word documents? Jpegs?

Generally....I'd try to save any personal files that were accessed regularly on an SSD. That's where SSD speed will help you.

Stuff that you look at only occasionally might go on an HDD.

Not sure about how well you've thought this out.

Can I change my motherboard to that and remove the network adaptor from my list and still keep everything else? I've just ordered the previous motherboard without seeing your message and now I'm not sure on whether to cancel the order and order your one or to just keep the one I've ordered.

Just out of curiosity with the motherboard you linked, can I not put it inside a Mid Tower or do I have to change my tower to a mATX?

Ok cheers, do you suggest me changing my motherboard as well?

This thread is over 60 posts long.

I have no idea about your priorities or intent beyond generalities.

You have stated 750 euros budget.

Have you decided on a CPU FOR SURE???

Do you have overclocking intentions FOR SURE?? Or not?

Micro ATX is perfectly fine for most users...probably including you unless you state some requirement that is unavailable on a specific micro ATX board. I'd lean toward certain Gigabyte or MSI micro ATX boards if I wanted micro ATX.

Probably a B660 chipset motherboard.

Probably a 12th generation Intel CPU without a K suffix. 12100 on up to 12600 depending on budget limitations.

Cooling and case to be determined.

Video card if any to be determined.

RAM probably DDR 4; 16 GB kit of 2 x 8; unless budget forces you down to 8 total in a 2 x 4 kit.

You may have to compromise on your gaming versus "everything else" requirements. If gaming is more important, then the GPU and possibly cooling gets a bigger slice of your budget. If "everything else" is more important, then give more priority to CPU.

The same micro ATX motherboard could work well for both.

Storage requirements are up in the air due to lack of enough provided detail.

Mate with some last minute financial support from my father this is my current list:

I'll be using the stock CPU cooler

Did you see the warning at the bottom of the PCPartpicker link?

You don't need to buy Windows?

You decided against an HDD?
I saw the warning and it says I may need to update the BIOS.
I am going to buy windows 10
I decided against a HDD as the people said above it's not necessary, if necessary I can buy it and put it in at a later date

That looks pretty good.

My only thoughts:

You might consider a 12400 instead of the 12400F in order to get the possibly useful integrated graphics.

Does your chosen RAM actually appear on the qualified memory list for that motherboard?

You might be able to save a few dollars by moving down to a 650 or 750 watt PSU.

I think I remember somebody saying don't get integrated graphics to stop possible complications plus I've already ordered the parts.

No idea, how do I check?

I was on the phone to https://cclonline.com/ and the tech guy on the line said he suggests just getting a 750 Watt PSU to prevent me from having to buy a new one down the line. He said it's worth paying the extra £10-£20 rather than buying a whole new one potentially if you want to upgrade the system.

I've just had a look at the supported memory and it says in the desciption of the motherboard on the website:

  • Supports DDR4 Memory, up to 4800+(OC) MHz

Considering my one is DDR4 3200mhz I assume it is supported?

I have NEVER heard of issues with having integrated video. You can use it or turn it off and use your video card.

You check RAM compatibility by going to motherboard web site support area and looking for the list of known compatible memory. Memory NOT on that list might work. Might not. Memory on that list is known to be compatible.

The tech guy recommended 750 watt and your link above says you ordered 850. I don't know what you actually did.

If you cannot now change the order, it doesn't matter.
