New build questions please help.

Hello,

I am doing a new build for my girlfriend. We had some help over at PcPartPicker forums with it and I am quite happy with few changes recommended but now just wanted a second opinion and a double check on a compatibility issue in the build. We already have a 1070 GPU so its not on the parts list.

The comparability issue reads - "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled." I don't think this is an issue though is it? The only other SATA port ill be using is my old HDD. Essentially we have 5 Sata ports and will be using two. Correct?

Also, in regards to cooling: Would it be worth it to purchase another chassis fan? I think this case only comes with two. Should I get another for the front? Or maybe one exhausting out the top?

I asked these questions over at PcPartPicker forum and all I got was someone linking me to a MiniATX motherboard with no explanation. Not sure why? =(

Why two? One HDD...one port correct?

I would get the machine and run it and check the temps. You may not need to...and they can be added anytime anyway.

Correct: Sata1 port will be disabled according to page 8 on the motherboard's manual here:

To put your mind at ease, I highly doubt a full ATX board would be designed were you couldn't install an additional slave drive to your M.2 for additional storage. I wouldn't purchase that motherboard!
Nice build by the way. My only suggestion would be to try and swing for a SATAIII M.2 512gb ssd:
SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series M.2 2280 500GB SATA III V-NAND
Crucial MX500 M.2 2280 500GB SATA III 3D NAND
If you're only gaming, the NVME speed difference between SATAIII won't be noticeable and you'll have twice as much capacity for the money. For gaming I usually advise people to go with a soditstate drive, but prioritize capacity over through put. It is very annoying to have to constantly deal with freeing up drive space on a small expensive NVME drive.
As for your fan config. It looks like there's a front fan for intake and a back fan for exhaust. For that mid range system, that is perfectly fine. No additional fans necessary.
