New build - questions/problems

I've been looking into the possibilities of using 6x monitors in a sli/cf rig. They're 1080p monitors and would be mounted 2 high 3 wide, 5760 x 2160 i think is the res.

What do you think I would need to get good FPS on reasonable details? I've been looking into sli 980's or cf 295x2's.

I already have the monitors from my workstations but was wondering approx what it would cost to get this build running well.

I don't do any rendering or video editing and if possible I'd prefer not to go x99 chipset just because of cost but it might be needed - I also have a 1300w PSU so don't count that into the budget. I'd prefer to stay under 2K if possible but it can stretch if it's truly needed.

It takes two good cards to get 60fps ultra at 4K in some AAA games. You want the equivalent of '6K', so that's going to be a stretch, unless you are prepared to turn down the standards. If you are, what's the point? I think we are a generation behind where you want to be.
