Hi,

Just put together my first build,

Gigabyte X79-UD3
i7-4930K
32gb RAM
Windows 8.1

I have 32gb of RAM installed however windows is only showing 24gb.

I've checked my bios and the 'M.I.T. Current Status' shows 32768MB
However on the 'System Information' page it shows 24576MB

Thanks.

Kingston Hyper x Beast

I've checked CPU-z and that's showing 32gb just seems to be windows that isn't recognizing it

I found a few things:
"Please perform the following step:

1.Press Win+R, and type msinfo32,then press enter.

2.In the System Information, please check the "Installed Physical Memory" and "Total Physical Memory".

3.Please capture the picture and upload it.

Meanwhile, please try the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool to test it:

1.Open Control Panel>>System and Security>>Administrative Tools,
2.In the Administrative Tool Window, you will see a list of options. You click on the "Windows Memory Diagnostic".
3.A will appear. You will see "Check Your Computer for Memory Problems". You click on "Restart Now and Check for Problems".
3.If you click to restart, then the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool starts checking and restarts automatically and displays the result."

Also:"When you clear the CMOS all BIOS settings revert to defaults. You should then choose "Load optimal defaults" and review the detail of all the settings to make sure they are optimised (or at least correct) for the use you make of your system."
