New Build running a lil hot..?

Finished my first build, , connected the CPU fan to the "CPU_FAN" plug,,then the top rear fan to the "CPU _OPT"
It shows in bios the cpu fan in red with a rpm of 527rpm or so,, and then the CPU _OPT, showing 1297 rpm +
(also channel fan 2 is running at 665rpm)

Did i connect the wrong plug , or am i doing something wrong with the cpu fan?
It seems the exhaust fan is running at a higher rpm,isnt that what the CPU should run at?
Also Bios is showing the temp to be 78 - 82.6 F,, a little high?
Could it be possible i used too much thermal paste,?, (i only used a pea size drop)
(I'm using the cooler master 212 evo )

78 F = to 26 C so your fine, I would worry if it was 80 C+. The temps are fine don't worry about it.

Also when i start the pc up ,i get a "CPU fan error -Press F1 to run set up"
Could this be due to me using the CM 212 evo,instead of the stock fan ?
I did see in the Bios theres minimum RPM settings which for the CPU fan is set to 600 rpm,could it be im getting this error due to that ?
