New Build, Ryzen 1700, 7700k or 6800k?

Hi, I am torn. I have been saving for a little while and was looking to upgrade to Ryzen when released. I have been patient and now the reviews are out I'm deciding if I should move from AMD to Intel?

I currently own a FX 6350 so I'm really ready for an upgrade!

So the question is Ryzen 1700(potential for big performance gains in future), Intel 7700k or 6800k?

If I were you I would hold off for a month or two more, Ryzen is new and like you can see from reviews they don't seem to be running at there full potential, Leave it for a couple of months so AMD and tweak settings and stuff and also allow time for developers to optimize there programs/games for ryzen. If nothing changes in a couple of months I would go with the 7700k

Right now I'm using my PC for gaming only, however, I am looking to getting into streaming. My daughter is thinking about doing a YouTube channel so I will need a fairly decent PC for video rendering.

I don't think you could really go wrong with either of those setups for Gaming and Streaming - or the occasional youtube rendering. Vote with your wallet, when it comes to gaming your choice of GPU would also be very important.

I'm going to hold of until the R5 series is released, eying up the 1600 or 1600x, I have a GTX 1070 EVGA SC which will run well in 1440p.
