New Build Screen Tearing

Hello guys,

So i've just literally finished building my new computer, and i'm using the exact same screen and graphics card. But i'm currently playing LoL but there is screen tearing? I'm having to enable v-sync to play, even though with my old comp with the exact same screen and graphics card i didn't have to?

My card is a gtx 970 and my screen refresh rate is 60hz.

Anyone got any idea whats going on?

You get the screen tearing because the fps on your new card is a lot higher that the refresh rate of your monitor. And yes if you want it to be fixed you have to use V-sync
