Hey guys,

I just built my first PC.

When I started it up the first time, it worked fine. I didn't set it up or install an OS yet, I just turned it off and left for the weekend. When I came back to it, it now won't turn on?!

I've taken everything out but the CPU and HSF, still nothing 🙁

I also attempted to manually turn it on instead of using the case power switch, still nothing.

It worked two days ago and hasn't been touched since, so surely nothing's broken between then and now?

Any help or advice on where to go from here would be much appreciated. Thank you!

"It worked two days ago and hasn't been touched since, so surely nothing's broken between then and now?"

That's not necessarily correct. Though not common, it's happened that parts have failed after a single or a few power cycles. I've read many accounts of PSU's that powered up a system once and then refused to work again. Same with motherboards. One thing we should be able to rule out is CPU / CPU socket damage. If that had occurred it is extremely unlikely that it would have worked to start with.

However I may have gotten ahead of myself. You have provided very little to go on other than your circumstances. Please give us you system specs.
