New build stuck on system initializing (Asus P10S-V/4L)

Hello,

Recently I made a brand new Build and upon startup the system hangs on system initializing indefinitely.

Base specs:
Motherboard: Asus P10S-V/4L
Processor: Intel Xeon E3 1220 V6
Memory: Kingston DDR4 2133 PC4 17000 8GB (KVR21R15S4/8)
PSU: Corsair CX500 (CP-9020047-NA)

I do have a few other additional components (including hard drives) however I cannot get the system to run without them in the first place.

More detailed problem description:
As soon as the power is turned on for the system it emits 3 short beeps once, referencing these beeps with the beep code table in the manual appears to not match anything. The fans seem to all run at what may be full speed though I don't have a reference point on that. The monitor that the system is connected to simply displays a system initializing screen with the bar stuck around 1/3rd of the way across the screen, unlike other iterations of this issues ive looked at I do not have any numbers or code of any kind on my screen. After a little while in this state the caterr1 light on the motherboard will turn on and it will hang like this until power off.

I did contact asus support and they didnt seem to be much help other than regurgitating the normal troubleshooting steps, they did say the beeps meant no vga detected even though that didnt match what i saw in the manual and as I had no graphics card installed i thought that could be the case, but using a graphics card did not seem to change anything.

Steps I have taken so far:
Reset CMOS (using jumpers and removing battery for half an hour)
Test the machine with only the cpu, psu, and ram connected.
Tried all RAM slots (yes the ram is fully inserted)
Replaced the ram card with an identical one (no others on hand)
Replaced the cpu with an identical one
Checked the cpu socket for bent pins (none)
Attempted to restore the BIOS using ASUS crash free BIOS 3 utility however inserting the formatted usb didn't do anything

As far as I can tell everything is connected , the only base part I haven't replaced at this point is the PSU however I really want to hear some feedback here before I make more pointless purchases to try and get this running. I've followed to the best of my ability, everything in the troubleshooting checklist post as well. I dont know if one of the parts I picked is incompatible or if ive just done something wrong here.

Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Solution
The issue you are having is related to your RAM. You have REGISTERED ECC memoery. What you need is UNBUFFERED ECC memory. You will need to return the memory and get different ones. The support site has a list of compatible memory model numbers.

I had this exact problem last week and as of last night can confirm using unbuffered ecc ram solved the problem.
According to asus manual page 3-2. https://www.asus.com/us/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/P10S-V-4L/HelpDesk_Manual/ 1 short + 2 short: no DIMM detected. So either the RAM or memory slot has problem.

So you may try remove all the RAM, boot the PC without the RAM, and one GPU ( because the e3 1220 V6 does not have any iGPU). If the PC can boot, that means the RAM has problem. If the PC does not booot, the problem maybe from the BIOS.

Because the MB needs to have the 3006 version BIOS at least to support the E3 1220 V6. If the MB does not have the right, that will cause the problem too.

1) Return the RAM, buy other one. If the RAM has problem. Or you need go to the local PC shop ask for help. 2) go to local PC shop let them check the BIOS, also the RAM with other cpu, if the MB does not have the right BIOS, ask them to update for you. Then you may know what ( RAM, bios, or MB) causes the problem.
