As the title suggests, I am looking for advice, and I'll try to make this as easy to read as possible. Also, I'm going to have a few comments beside certain parts.

Approximate Purchase Date : Soon, I would like to actually build the computer before 2013

Budget Range : With the parts I have chosen, I can get this for about $1720 which includes shipping and taxes. So, if there are any people who know of a place where I can get these parts for less, that'd be appreciated. Rubix had told me that someone was able to spend $850 on parts excluding the case, PSU and SSD. So, ultimately, I would like it to be less.

System Usage (Most to Least Important) : Gaming, Media, School Work

Preferred Websites : Any, I know Newegg, NCIX or Amazon a lot more, but any reputable website is fine.

Country : Canada (Ontario)

Parts :

Case : Coolermaster Haf X Red (Pretty set on the case.)
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=53776

CPU : Intel Core i7-3770k (I'm set on the i7 mostly because I have an i5 right now and find it slow, although I value everyone's opinions, that part is not up for debate.)
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70540&promoid=1306

CPU Cooler : Noctua NH-D14
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=47090&promoid=1268

GPU : MSI GTX 670 PE (Chose that one because of the high clock speeds, and I would like to keep the GPU Purchase on Newegg because I know they have the 2 free games.)
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127685

RAM : Corsair Vengeance 4gb 1600mhz (Quantity:2)
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233257

MOBO : MSI Z77A (I've heard mixed reviews about MSI Boards, but couldn't seem to find any better ones for around the same price.)
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130653

PSU : ZS Series 80+ Bronze PSU 750W (Went with 750w because I plan on OCing. The CPU to atleast 4.4ghz or so, I dont know if I can get away with less, but if any suggestions for the mobo support SLI then 750w may be a good idea, but I assume most suggestions wont.)

Optical Drive : LG DVD Writer
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=76514&vpn=GH24NS72&manufacture=LG Electronics&promoid=1285

Storage : Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM HDD
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=65701&promoid=1306

Crucial M4 128GB SSD
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=60445

Other Parts/Software : Windows 7
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=45271&promoid=1306

Rosewill Wireless Card (Honestly, that will just be much easier for me.)

Final Notes
Basically I would just like a review of these parts, and any suggestions of where I could save money without sacrificing preformance.
I am also curious about the mobo I selected only having two fan headers, yet the Haf X has 4. Should 2 fans per header be ok?
Thanks for any help you guys can/do give me.

first question: how much work do you do a day that requires many threads (rendering, video editing, and modeling). if you dont do more than 3hrs of that stuff, a i7 is useless

ill configure something for you after that

It's a solid build i would suggest you get i5-3570k and different motherboard. Here that card in action if your interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnLUJxCBZUg&feature=plcp Crysis 2 Campaign MSI GTX 670 OC Test :D

Well I said homework, because in the future I will be going into software engineering, but I could be doing a few hours of rendering every so often, but as I said, I have basically decided upon the i7, because I feel like it is basically the best thing for me. I knew there would be recommendations for an i5 which is why I had said what I said. But, if I'm happy with the answer to my next question, I may be convinced. If I overclocked the i5 to 4.4 or 4.5ghz or so, could I expect to see roughly the same performance as a i7-3770k at .1ghz or so less?

Do you think the MSI 670 would be fine running a game on one screen (1920x1080) and having youtube or whatever on another 1920x1080 monitor? And thanks for the quick reply, which I will also extend to TheBigTroll, but I hadnt been planning to directly reply to your message, bigcyco so I was planning to make a general thank you for you two. I also looked at those two mobos, and I'll check them out on newegg.ca for prices, and perhaps see if I can get futureshop to beat neweggs price if they have the boards too.

Even with overclocks? And perhaps with the money I save on the CPU if I decide to go with the i5, I could put into a 680? Although, there may be a bottleneck, I dont know. And if you or TheBigTroll could answer my earlier question of whether a i5-3570k OCed to 4.4ghz (or higher if its possible to do with fairly low temps) is comparable to an i7 at 4.3ghz or so

With overclock there no for sure thing if you get a good chip you should be able to overclock it to that on the NHD-14 the 680 is only 7% faster i do not think it's worth the extra cost.I have two MSI 670 PE now and i5-2500k no bottlenecks so i do not see it being a issue.
