New build suggestions needed

I am looking to build my second gaming rig and give my wife my old rig for her art and graphic design business on etsy. The old rig had a i5 3570k CPU and GTX 680 I built it about 3 years ago and feel its not meeting the demands of today's games with the limited 2GB it offers. The current build in progress is in the link below. It's kind of more than I was hoping to spend my last build ran me around $1,400. Any suggestions on what I can change without losing to much performance but still future proofing would be greatly appreciated. This PC will not be overclocked so I don't need an unlocked CPU. The one thing the PC must have is the new GTX 980 ti which apparently requires at least a 600W PSU, it will need at least 8GB of RAM, a processor that is at least 3.5Ghz, I may be able to get by on just the one monitor, keyboard, and mouse that I already have to save money, just would be a pain to have to move it when I want to play. My time frame is Christmas at the latest.

you could shave $100 off by buying a good quality 650/750W PSU from XFX (made by Seasonic)
You could save by getting a smaller SSD.
