Hi to all

I'm currently thinking on different ideas for a new build, I have a i5-750 pc with a GTX 770 and I'm planning on replacing it with a new system, primarily used for gaming. My main focus are price, performance and longevity (it should last a while); I'm also inclined towards a mini-itx form factor due to space constraints

This is the latest setup I have

-MSI GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition Graphic Cards GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition

-MyDigitalSSD BPX 80mm (2280) M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 (PCIe Gen3 x4) NVMe MLC SSD (240GB)

-SilverStone Technology 700W,SFX-L, Silent 120mm Fan with 036Dba, Fully Modular Cable Power Supply SX700-LPT

-Seagate 4TB Barracuda Sata 6GB/s 128MB Cache 2.5-Inch 15mm Internal Bare/OEM Hard Drive (ST4000LM024)

-Intel Core i5-7600K LGA 1151 Desktop Processors (BX80677I57600K)

-SilverStone Technology Mini-ITX Slim Small Form Factor Computer Case with Handle ML08B-H

-Silverstone Tek Low-Profile Heatsink CPU Cooler with 92mm PWM Fan, Four 6mm Heat Pipes, Intel LGA1155/1156/1150 and AMD AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2 AR06

-MSI Gaming Intel H270 DDR4 HDMI USB 3 mini-ITX Motherboard (H270I GAMING PRO AC)

-Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Desktop Memory Kit Black (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16)

How does it look? Also, I have a 1080p screen with no plans of updating it soon

After these days announcements, I think I'll switch to a Ryzen 7 1700x instead, might last me longer than the i7 7700k, this is my new setup

-DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400 CPU Cooler 4 Heatpipes 120mm PWM Fan Blue LED INTEL/AMD AM4 Compatible
-AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Processor (YD170XBCAEWOF)
-MSI Gaming AMD Ryzen X370 DDR4 VR Ready HDMI USB 3 SLI CFX ATX Motherboard (X370 KRAIT GAMING)
-Gigabyte GeForce GTX GV-N1080TTOC-8GD Video Graphics Cards
-MyDigitalSSD BPX 80mm (2280) M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 (PCIe Gen3 x4) NVMe MLC SSD (240GB)
-Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Desktop Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16)

Regarding the missing parts, those I plan to reuse them from my current PC, I have a Silverstone TJ10 case a...
Not really going to work very well the CPU cooler is only designed for a 65 watt processor the i5 7600K is a 91 watt processor at stock speed.
The H270 board only supports 2400 memory so no need for the 3200.
For longevity of a gaming system your buying backwards more processor less video card for 1080p.
The gaming performance of the i5 processor is already lacking in BF1 multi-player, with the way games are starting to go this will be more of a factor.
The GTX 1080ti sounds good in theory for not needing to upgrade BUT with the gains in video card performance from year to year a GTX 1070 would make for a better buy. Plenty for a 1080p monitor and by the time you need to upgrade their will be much better cards out.

I've think about liquid cooling but it seems many 240 solutions might not fit my case properly without some extra part which doesn't seems to be on sale anymore

Best Regards
