New build - Takes several minutes for motherboard logo to appear during boot & high CPU temp at idle

Hello. I have finished putting together my build and I am having some problems with it. After turning on the computer, it takes over a minute for the motherboard logo to appear, once it does windows starts booting almost immediately. I also noticed that while I'm in bios, it says my CPU temperature is at 56 degree C which is extremely high during idle.

Components:
Motherboard - Gigabyte FMA85XM-HD3

PSU - AMD 10 A6800k 100w

Heatsink - Silverstone NT01-Pro . Here is a test of the the heatsink with the same PSU: (link)

RAM - TeamGroup Elite 4GB (4x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz

I have three harddrives connected to the motherboard via SATA 6gb/s

I have updated to version F3 of bios, boot speed is no quicker if I unplug the non-OS harddrives. Does anyone know what could be causing these problems?

For the video issue the onboard gpu is on. Go into the bios turn off muilt monitor support to turn off the onboard gpu and then set the primary output to peg or pci. For the heat issue was there any thermal paste on the after market CPU?? If you added your own there may be to little or too much paste on the CPU cooler. The other issue is the cooler not down tight or the CPU fan not moving. Check in the bios what the CPU fan speed is. To slow of fan speed can cause heat issues.

Thank you. I applied the thermal paste myself, first time I have done it so its likely I did it wrong. I will dismantle and reapply it later. As for the slow boot, I can't find any options for switching off multi monitor support/onboard gpu in bios. however, when I go on device manager on the control panel it only shows the graphics card as the display adapter. can the onboard GPU still be the issue or is there something else causing the problem?

Slow boot problem was caused by faulty motherboard, replaced it today and everything works great. I undervolted the CPU so now the temperatures are fine as well.
