Need a better* build for gaming under $1000 -$1200, including all the other components like monitor, sound system, keyboard/mouse, case. I still have my old build if y'all can see if there's anything I can reuse that'll be great.
Don't want to spend too high on the monitor or the case.

OLD Build-
Processor - AMD FX 6300
MB - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2
RAM - 8GB 2x4
GPU - GTX 960 4GB
PSU - 450W
HDD - 1TB

Solution
If gaming is the sole intention of your build, then this should be a good configuration. Reuse the HDD for now. For Windows, you can either purchase it as listed above or download it free and activate later on from Microsoft.... https://www.howtogeek.com/244678/you-dont-need-a-product-key-to-install-and-use-windows-10/

Depends on use, I would go with Ryzen 5 if you use programs that can utilize the extra threads.

BF1 and Watch_Dogs 2? Good enough for me.

RX 480 outperforms slightly in this case. So...
