Hey guys, I need some help with a computer I just built for a friend. The initial hardware and software installation went well and up to date drivers were installed. I had downloaded some basic programs for him and didn't notice anything wrong.
He's had it for a few days now and what has happened is that when he turns the comp on there is a black screen that appears for about 10-15 seconds on a standard computer monitor (this happens after the mobo splash screen and the windows startup/load screen), and then windows begins to start as normal. However, when the computer is hooked up to his tv, the black screen stays there indefinitely (oddly enough the mouse still shows up on the screen and can be moved around). Does this sound like a hardware or software problem? Any ideas??
