I built my pc a few months ago and it started hard freezing out of nowhere. If the pc runs for a cpl hrs with minimal load it freezes. If I stress test components it freezes. I have to hard reset with case power button. If I try to power back right away it will light up and fans run but doesn't show up on screen and it will turn itself off and back on again repeatedly with nothing going to monitor.

If unplug and plug back in it will turn on normally but will freeze much faster this time in about one minute. I have reinstalled windows and tried unplugging all peripherals problem persists. A cpu test showed me 7% throttling not sure what that means. It worked for a few months with 0 issues and now it's constantly freezing.

Can this be hardware or bios related? Any "go to" ways to narrow this down to a component? I'm lost.

Specs
Msi mpg z790 edge wifi
latest bios I7 13700K
Evga 3080 ftw
Evga Supernova 1000+
Corsair ddr5 6200mhz
10 Lian li infinity fans/ 2 Lian li strimers gpu/mb

Are you monitoring temperatures? What manner of cooling are you using aside from the case fans?
I have the Kracken elite 360 connected to mb pump header. 3 lian li infinity fans attached to aio and 7 more in case. Temps don't see to go 30s for cpu and 40s for gpu under light load. The fans are controlled by the connect 3 software. I ran cpu test it said I have 7% throttling,if that means anything. Any intense test I run doesn't finish before windows 10 freezes. I've reseated the ram and gpu, reinstalled windows and tried using onboard graphics to no avail. It works longest in the morning, but will freeze up and if I restart right away, it freezes up with in minutes repeatedly. Bios runs fine with out freezing. Do you think it's ssd/cpu/mb or ram?

Honestly, aside from the mention of your temps my thoughts are thermal throttle then shutdown.

Did you remember to peel the plastic from the cooling block? Mounted correctly on the block and hoses and such for the cooler where it can't trap bubbles in the pump?
