Hey, I have a strict budget of $500 and I do not know what I should buy for parts, especially the CPU

I have built several computers before but I always went with the AMD setup.

I need a good video card because I will be playing games like crysis (doesn't have to be at high settings)

What do you guys suggest? I prefer newegg.com

I have a monitor mouse and keyboard, I also have my own hard drive.

See the setup you just listed is actually the same setup as I have now but with a crappier motherboard, but I have some one that wants to buy this computer for $550 (bought for $390) and I forgot my price was $550 not $500

This is what I was thinking.

Processor: 7750 kuma http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103300&Tpk=7750%20kuma

MotherBoard: gigabyte ga-ma770-ud3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128376

VideoCard: ati 4870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121288

Memory: 4GB of DDR2 pc 1066 kingston http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104098

PowerSupply: 600 watt active pfc rosewill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182150

Case: I kinda liked this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103024

DVDRom: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136152

What do you think? will the processor bottleneck my video card?

Thanks!

I agree, quality first, you don't want everything to crap out on you in 3 months. Antec 300 + OCZ 550watt is good. You really don't need ddr2 1066, ddr2 800 is fine. DDR2 800 is actually a DDR3 standard, lol. Anyway, HD4830 if you can, or HD4850 is great, AMD was getting rid of the 4830 cards not to long ago. G Luck.

I think I wanna go with a 4870 video card.

I kind of like cool looking cases. I understand that the antec 300 is the best for the price, but can you guys suggest a good looking good quality case for around $45-$70?

I am also going to buy 3 120mm fans if I get the antec 300 because it can hold it.

Thanks.

The Antec 300 has amazing airflow with just the two included fans. It's the best case for ~$50 IMO. You really don't need to add front fans.

Cases come down to personal preference. Asking for someone to suggest a "good looking" case is pointless because what I think is good looking you might think is ugly. You'll need to do your own research on cases if you're more worried about looks than functionality. Here's a list of all the mid-tower cases on Newegg between $50 & $75:
