My budget is $1000 dollars, I have an OS, a monitor, keyboard, mouse and cables already.
Should I buy better parts, or keep the extra money? This is a gaming build.
EDIT: Added a PSU, So I have an extra $150 for this

Most people don't even think about it, but I have built a cheap NAS server that I use to back up my SteamApp folder. So when I reformat I don't have to waste time re-downloading.

Oh yeah PSU definitely. I'd make sure to get a quality one and not a junk one.

Not a bad idea - you could just buy another HD and run it in RAID 0 and then have automatic backups.

I feel like an idiot forgetting the psu, I'll look into that
