New build, i9-9900k + asus rog strix z390e. Will boot, install windows 10pro on m.2 970, network adapter not present. Cannot install drivers found from asus website.
Dram lights up orange and cpu light up briefly during boot, then green ligh on boot shines continuously. Everything in bios looking normal although the screen wont scale properly. (Due to lack of display driver i reckon)

Ive done 10+ builds and i am boggled. If cpu or mobo werent installed properly i would likely not get a boot and windows installed. Gpu is disconnected as it wont display, have to use hdmi directly off the mobo.

Am i shorting out somewhere? Tried to boot with 1 ram stick and same thing. The one thing thats confusing is the dram orange and cpu yellow lights coming on and then going away seconds after booting.

I tried to crear cmos but cannot find the jumper on this new mobo, only took out battery for 15 sec and put back in. Didnt help.

Please help

I'd make sure ALL these are manually installed.

And that your bios version is version 0506 and that you have the most current release version of Windows.

If all those drivers are installed, and you have the latest bios version, and the network adapter is enabled in the bios, then I'd check to make sure it is not a network cable or router issue. If those are ok too, then I'd RMA the board as having a faulty network adapter. If that...
Make sure the network adapter is enabled in the bios. Also, it might be worth it to enable Network stack in the bios if that setting is available and see what that does. Usually that only affects pre-windows network adapter availability, but worth trying.

The MOST important thing you probably ought to do is make sure there are not any newer bios versions available than the one you have installed. I'd just about guarantee that if you have not updated your bios since purchasing the board, that there are.

After updating, reconfigure any needed bios settings as settings don't remain when you reset the bios via jumper or battery removal. Also, when resetting via battery removal, leave the battery out for more like five minutes AND make sure power is disconnected from the wall.

Yes i forgot to mention i did update the bios to most current version and network adapter (lan adapter) is enabled. I was troubleshooting with asus support and all they could tell me is to clear cmos as a shortage somewhere cpuld have disabled certain mobo i/o's
