Hi,

I bought myself a AsRock B650M Pro RS Wifi + AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) - Sadly, i have not been able to boot at all.

I keep getting 2 solid red lights at CPU and RAM. I have tried every possible ram configuration with 1 stick, both of them. Issue persist.

I'm running out of ideas and i'm not sure i'm able to tell if it's the board, CPU or ram. I'm not in a position to test with ohter hardware unfortunately.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time. You should be able to see a sticker on the motherboard that says what BIOS version the board came shipped with. Rams in slots A2 and B2? Might want to try and relieve some mounting pressure on the CPU's socket for your cooler and see if the issue persists.

Personally I would've avoided getting the ASRock motherboard.

Moved thread from Motherboards section to Systems section.

There is only one GSKILL 96GB kit on the QVL for that motherboard. AMD is not strong in the 96GB support. You may just have to get some different RAM.

I bought these and tried and the outcome is the same 🙁

Crucial Pro 96GB DDR5 RAM Kit (2x48GB), 5600MHz (or 5200MHz or 4800MHz) Desktop Memory UDIMM 288-pin, Compatible with 13th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 - CP2K48G56C46U5

Solid red lights for both CPU and RAM. I'm starting to think that it's either my CPU or motherboard that is causing this.

Buy a less dense kit like 2x16 for testing. If that fails return the CPU for another if within return period, else RMA it. If the new RMAed' CPU has similar issues with the test kit of RAM, return/RMA the motherboard. Good luck!
