New Build will not wake from sleep state

New build will not wake from sleep state without pressing the power button down for a few seconds. Then it comes back on as if it was in sleep mode. I have tested the memory and it is ok. I took an energy report with the command prompt and this message came back:

Platform Power Management Capabilities: PCI Express Active-State Power Management (ASPM) Disabled
PCI Express Active-State Power Management (ASPM) has been disabled due to a known incompatibility with the hardware in this computer.

I kind of wonder if this has to something to do with it. I can enable it in the bios(i checked), but i really do not want to do anything that might harm my build. I get no error messages in the event viewer. I am not getting any bsods and i really have no problems besides this. coming from my trusty old fx8350 this i5 6600k blows it out of the water. Oh ya, I am not overclocking.

I need that piece of hardware. I do not own a tv and my cable runs directly into it. It caused no issues with sleep in my old build. Of course that was AMD. But still, if it is incompatible with ASPM if would have also been the same with the old setup. However, I will pull it and then default the bios and see what it says in the bios then.

After uninstalling the tv tuner. I reset the bios to see if ASPM had be set to on. It was not. I did not turn it on since I do not know if it is safe to do. I booted up then set sleep to 1 minute. I went into sleep mode but exhibited the same behavior as before. It did not turn on until i pressed the power button for a few seconds. Then as usual it started as if it was coming out of sleep mode.

Then i generated another energy-report with the tv tuner off the system. It said the same thing.

Platform Power Management Capabilities: PCI Express Active-State Power Management (ASPM) Disabled
PCI Express Active-State Power Management (ASPM) has been disabled due to a known incompatibility with the hardware in this computer.

I already put the tv tuner back in. Fairly obvious that was not the problem since with it out, the exact same report generated as before.

Also i just finished trying it with ASPM enabled in the bios. Did not make a difference. I have also tried doing by turning off suspend to ram. I figured the ssd is about the same speed. Monitor would go off but computer didn't enter sleep stage. Also tried hibernation. That was also kind of strange it would shut off and come right back on.

I should probably have mentioned if i only put the monitor into, sleep it comes back on without a problem.

Yes clean install of Windows 7 with sp1. Maybe that's the problem. If it is...well i will live with it I need Media Center.

Everything is updated already. That was the first thing I did when I built the system. Also just for kicks. I tried some of the older bios.

When i look in the event view I get no errors. I have not once bsod. I have never frozen while playing a game. Aside from this sleep issue, the computer runs perfect.

AsRock forums are a joke. That is why i am here. And yes there are other people with similar problems on various motherboard makers sites.

I kind of wonder if it has something to do with an intel mb driver that has not been updated since 2009. Intel did say they would not support this cpu on Windows 7
