New build: Will that stuff work together?

Hello,

I am starting a new build, and i am new at this. Can anyone check if all that components will work together?

What part is a bottle neck for that system? Do i need to buy a cooler apart from the one that comes with the processor if i am not overclocking? If i don't overclock, will i be able to play games at top configuration?

Do i need a full size tower to make everything fit or a mid size is ok?

For gaming? Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Here it goes:

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 650D (CC650DW-1) Black Steel structure with black brushed aluminum faceplate ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - U$ 200.00

Power Supply: Ultra LSP750 750-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, SLI-Ready, 135mm Fan - U$ 75.00

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 680 04G-P4-2686-KR Video Card - 4GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0(x16), 1x Dual-link DVI-I, 1x Dual-link DVI-D, 1x DisplayPort, 1x HDMI, DirectX 11, SLI Ready, Overclocked - U$ 530.00 (is it too powerfull for that system?)

CPU: i5 3570k - U$ 220

RAM: Corsair Vengeance? 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 240-Pin Desktop Memory - U$ 45.00

Mother Board: ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS - U$ 140.00

SSD: Samsung 840 Series 250GB Solid State Drive - U$ 190.00



So far that build is U$ 1400.00 I can go a little bit more expensive if you guys suggest anything that should be changed.

-crap power supply
-not so good case.
-no difference between 2 different OSs for gaming
-if you dont overclock, you can still play at top settings for most things
-680s are a terrible value. a 670 performs the same out of the box. a 7950 performs around a 670 mark but for cheaper and comes with 3 good games

You do not need to overclock in order to play games. You do not need an extra cooler if you do not overclock.

Get a power supply only from a company like Corsair, Antec, XFX, Seasonic.

The 680 is sort of a wast of money because a 670 will be just about equal and actually better if you overclock it. The 680 just isn't really worth the extra money.

If you plan on OC that proc for sure buy a cooler, keeping how far you'll go in mind when youre buying one. Also, with that spec system is 16 GB of RAM that hard to get? Also, you might want to consider buying a name brand PSU as a bad one could render your system useless, just a thought. For gaming. Stick to Win 7 for sure! Full tower will get you better cooling if space isnt a huge concern. Sorry about the disjointedness, was reading on the spot.

Ok i changed to Video card to:
EVGA GeForce GTX670 FTW+ 4096MB GDDR5 256bit DVI HDMI DisplayPort 4-Way SLI Ready Graphics Card 04G-P4-3673-KR

And the Power Supply to: Corsair Professional 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply


This better now? Any suggestions?

i dont see anything good about the ftw from evga. its a 670 on a 680 pcb and cooler. easily gets destroyed in cooling potential by any other aftermarket solution

and a 7970 performs better for what you are using it for, especially in metro 2033
